ANNUAL MEETING

All members are invited to SWEC's 86th Annual Meeting

  Refreshments will be provided for you to enjoy while visiting with employees and fellow members. We will once again have vendor booths including energy efficiency and energy audits, a virtual reality video of the “Line Worker Experience”, and representatives from Citizens Memorial Healthcare will be providing health information. The annual meeting has always been more than just a business meeting as it’s a great time to catch up with friends and neighbors from the communities we serve.

  During the business meeting, we will provide an update on the cooperative including financial and operational achievements and challenges of 2024. In addition, CEO/general manager, James Ashworth will provide insight on the current state of the industry as we move forward in an ever changing horizon. You will also take part in the election of representatives for your board of directors. This member control is a powerful advantage of a cooperative and sets us apart from other utilities.

  Thanks to the support and commitment of our members, directors, and employees Southwest has been able to fulfill it’s mission of providing reliable, affordable, and safe electricity to our rural communities for 86 years. 

  The annual meeting is an opportunity to be an engaged member with your electric cooperative. We look forward to seeing you at our 86th Annual Meeting on Saturday, September 13 at Bolivar High School!
