The "Energize Missouri" appliance rebate program is set to begin on April 19th. The state of Missouri is encouraging people to "Go Green" by buying appliances carrying the Energy Star seal of approval. The program will offer rebates from 75 dollars to 500 dollars depending on what you buy. The state of Missouri has a little over 5-million dollars of stimulus funds for the program. So, as long as that money is there, they are going to keep handing out the rebates, but once that money's gone, the rebates are done and it will be on a first come, first served basis. The program is not retroactive, meaning you will have to purchase your new appliance on or after April 19th. The "Energize Missouri Appliance Rebate" program is set to start concurrently with the "Show Me Green Sales Tax Holiday." That weekend the Missouri sales tax will also be waived on qualified purchases. Available Rebates:
The Department of Natural Resources will provide a paper rebate application that must be mailed in along with the original purchase receipt. Missouri is still in the process of selecting an implementation contractor for the program. It should take 3-4 weeks for rebates to be processed and sent to those eligible. More rebate details will become available once Missouri selects a rebate processor.
