| Business Lighting Rebate Program |
|
Southwest Electric Cooperative is participating in the Take Control and Save Business Lighting Program. You may be surprised to learn that lighting can take a larger share of a building's electricity use than any other single end use. Significant cost savings can be achieved with energy-efficiency improvements, and lighting usually provides the highest return-on-investment of major upgrades. With the Take Control & Save business lighting program, Southwest Electric Cooperative could offer rebates up to 40 percent of your total lighting upgrade. Do You Qualify? How Do You Participate? Step 1 - A walk through of your facility must be conducted by the cooperative or designated representative to audit existing lighting inventory. You may contact Southwest Electric Cooperative for the appropriate forms and applications. Step 2 - The Member and/or their selected lighting vendor must complete the lighting application. Step 3 - Pre-approval is required before you purchase and install the lighting equipment. Send the completed application to the cooperative to verify calculations of estimated energy savings and rebate for approval before purchasing new lighting fixtures/bulbs. Step 4 - After the cooperative approves the proposed lighting, install the approved lighting and equipement. Step 5 - After installation, send the completed application, specification sheets, and all receipts to Southwest Electric Cooperative. The cooperative will perform a walk-through audit to verify lighting installation before issuing the rebate.
